Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel West Virginia is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Financial Analyst.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to producing monthly financial statements and reports, forecasting capital expenditures and operational expenses, and providing various cost analysis and divisional comparisons.
The Financial Analyst will partner with Operations and Maintenance teammates in creating, tracking, and managing cost estimates and budgets for capital projects.
The ideal candidate will be able to provide valuable insights and recommendations on budgeting, investment opportunities, and other financial matters to support the division’s growth and success.
Nucor Steel West Virginia is Nucor’s new sheet mill with advanced steel making capabilities and lower carbon emissions.
This is a greenfield project, which is estimated to be fully operational after two years of construction.
The new steel mill will employ 800 full-time teammates producing up to 3 million tons per year at one of the most technologically advanced sheet mills located in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains in close proximity to both Huntington and Charleston, WV.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
3 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing industry
Proficiency in creating Microsoft Power BI dashboards
