Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team.
As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with financial reporting, bank reconciliations, budgeting, tax preparation, and other accounting tasks.
This is a full-time position based in Delbarton, WV.
Duties:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with relevant regulations
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Utilize accounting software (e.
g.
, QuickBooks) to record and track financial data
- Support the preparation of audit schedules and assist with external audits
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in financial report writing and analysis
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.
g.
, QuickBooks)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Experience with tax preparation is a plus
