Create, edit, and/or update various types of utility and infrastructure related GIS datasets
Perform regular data creation, reconciliation, and quality-control tasks for assigned projects
Create high quality maps, web applications, and other GIS-related products / deliverables using GIS software
Maintain accurate records, documentation, and procedures of work performed for related GIS processes
Develop custom workflows and scripts to increase productivity and accuracy
Provide technical instruction and implement standards for office staff, field crews, and clients
Operate and assist in the maintenance of GIS system hardware, software, and related equipment
Assist with the coordination of field data collection, reporting, and map development for all service lines
Assist with the administration, availability, security, and integrity of enterprise-level geodatabases
Assist with the creation, publishing, and maintenance of ArcGIS Online accounts and web-maps
Assist with the management of ArcGIS Server software, hardware, and associated web services
Perform field work, including inspections & GIS/GPS data collection, which may require occasional travel
Requirements:
Experience and competency with GIS desktop software (ESRI ArcGIS Pro or ArcGIS Desktop preferred)
Familiarity in data management practices including data loading, metadata, file conversion, and analysis
Proficient with computer hardware and software including Microsoft Office, email, and internet browser programs
Problem solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
Ability to walk, stand, kneel/stoop, lift 30lbs, work outside, and drive for extended periods
Desired Skills:
Skilled in data versioning, archiving workflows, and other best practices
Experience with ArcGIS Extensions and Spatial Analysis
Experience in integrating GIS systems with other enterprise applications
Experience with data conversions from CAD (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.
) to GIS platforms
Familiarity with enterprise-level ArcSDE Databases, Microsoft SQL Server, and SQL Server Management Studio
Familiarity with ArcGIS Enterprise/ Server, ArcGIS Platform and other ESRI Web-Applications
Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other Cloud-Based Server / Database Platforms
Familiarity with VBA, .
NET, Python, JavaScript, C#, R, or other programming languages
Minimum Education and Training:
Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience with ArcGIS Desktop/Software
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or related field, and 1-3 years of professional-level geospatial work.
An equivalent combination of related education and experience may substitute for the minimum requirements on a year per year basis.
