As a Paralegal Assistant, you will provide essential support to the lead attorney with various legal tasks.

The ideal candidate for this position has extensive experience working as a Paralegal Assistant, enjoys working with people, finds satisfaction in serving clients, and is able to take direction from the lead attorney.
*Duties include, but are not limited to*:
-Interact with clients, established and prospective, by phone and in person
-Collect documents necessary to support personal injury and wrongful termination/retaliation employment claims
-Submit requests to healthcare facilities to obtain medical records and billing records to calculate client's damages
-Ensure that medical records and medical billings records remain current
-Interact and communicate with insurance adjusters regarding client's case
-Organize case files, including keep abreast of filing tasks
-Manage case load, including keep up with status and upcoming tasks in each case
-Organize and maintain client files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed
-E-file documents in state and federal court
-Manage law practice calendar, communicate diplomatically with groups of attorneys and paralegals to schedule depositions and mediations
- Schedule meetings, interviews, and appointments with clients and witnesses
- Draft correspondence and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
-Prepare interrogatories, requests for production of documents, and requests for admission
-Prepare trial notebook and trial exhibits, attend trial to assist attorney with exhibits
-Assist attorney with client communication as it relates to preparation of legal documents
- Maintain confidentiality of client information
*Qualifications*
- Experience working as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant (required)
-Professional references from past employment as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant (required)
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
-Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision
-Interact with clients, other counsel, court reporters, judges, and court personnel in a professional manner
- Proficient in transcription and document preparation
- Familiarity with state and federal e-filing systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work product
-Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
- Excellent written (i.
e.
spelling, grammar, and punctuation) and verbal communication skills
