org* *Social Work & Compliance Manager* The Social Work & Compliance Manager is a critical part of leading and coordinating clinical and social work services in a manner that maintains Ohio JFS Licensing requirements in a Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP).
This manager works in a team context with Mended Reeds’ Residential Manager, residential staff, custodians, Juvenile and or Municipal Court staff, school staff, contractors, and others serving the needs of residents.
Clinical services include both behavioral health and addictions counseling.
Compliance services include maintaining all social work and licensing information in the Ohio Certification and Licensing Management System (OCALM).
This manager stays in touch with the Ohio JFS Licensing Section and is responsible for advising the Executive Director with necessary rule changes and fulfilling licensing compliance documentation in a timely manner.
This role requires clinical and licensing experience, professional communication, teamwork, leadership, and assertiveness.
As an option, the manager is also eligible for a limited number of services to be contracted for clinical services through Mended Reeds Mental Health.
*Job Description* Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, maintains client Individualized Service Plans (ISPs), oversees contracted clinical services to assure effectiveness and QRTP licensing requirements, enters records in the agency EHR system, maintains agency policy manuals, and generates monthly quality and compliance reports.
The manager must be licensed in Ohio as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW or LISW) or a master’s level Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC or LPCC), and be qualified to develop and/or approve ISP in a QRTP program.
*Duties/Responsibilities* * Oversees the QRTP and licensing compliance of all social work and clinical operations * In the direct creation, development, and maintenance of ISPs and their reviews * In the oversight of clinical contractors as work is delegated, to provide ISP-related services through an operating agreement with Mended Reeds Mental Health * Develops internal company policies and procedures in collaboration with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors * Ensures compliance with OhioMHAS, Ohio Department of Jobs & Family Services (ODJFS), the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professional Board (OCDP board), the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board (CSWMFT board), the Council on Accreditation (COA), and all accrediting and regulatory bodies as applicable.
* Conducts regular audits/risk assessments of existing policies and procedures to identify potential weaknesses or areas of concern with non-compliance or indicated areas of improvement.
* Carries out utilization review and clinical quality assurance activities in collaboration with the administrative team.
* Develop realistic Corrective Action Plans when faced with JFS Licensing non-compliance situations and be able to effectively communicate those plans to the Board and management team.
* Attends industry-related seminars and conferences recommended by Ohio JFS to remain current with new and upcoming rules.
* Assists the management team in developing regulatory training for all staff.
* Assists the Executive Director, Board of Directors, Residential Manager, and supporting staff in achieving goals and objectives of the organization, including COA accreditation efforts.
* Collaborates with the Residential Manager and community partners to further develop systems of care and aftercare for individuals and families.
* Assists Clinical staff in coordinating cross-systems clinical and social services that are problem focused and build on family strengths.
* Maintains necessary documentation, participates in program evaluation, attends team and program planning meetings, cross system training, and acquires knowledge of community resources.
* Monitors and reviews grievances and complaints (both by staff and clients).
Ensures that all regulations are followed (i.
e.
time constraints) and that resolutions offered/suggested ae within legal and ethical guidelines.
Assists the Residential Manager in collection, maintenance and review of all grievances/complaints for regulatory review.
* Understands and is able to provide guidance to the clinical team for the following behavioral health services as defined by the OhioMHAS: * Substance Use Disorder Counseling and Assessment * Community Psychiatric Support Services (CM) * Mental Health Assessment Services * Behavioral Health Counseling and Therapy Service * Pharmacological Management Services * Crisis Intervention Mental Health Services * Carry out Quality Assurance and Outcomes Management Activities * Participate in Strategic Planning * Promote positive public image for Mended Reeds, and * Other duties as assigned by CEO.
*Minimum Credentials, Skills, and Abilities for Competency:* * Master’s degree in counseling (LPC), or bachelor’s degree in social work (LSW) * Knowledge of child welfare, behavioral health, juvenile justice, and education systems.
* Able to effectively communicate through verbal/written expression.
* Must be able to use MS WORD, online reporting systems (like OCALM), and MS EXCEL software.
* Must be 21 years of age and pass FBI/BCI background check and drug screen.
