Entry Level Draftsman

We are seeking a tech savvy, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our drafting team that is interested in an entry level CAD position in the manufacturing industry.
In this role you will be assisting with the modernization of our CAD filing systems, all the while training with our experienced team to create 2D production drawings from 3D models.
*Education:* * High school diploma or equivalent * Intermediate computer literacy * Good math skills (Geometry) * CAD or relative design software skills a plus *Qualifications:* * Ability to stay on task * Self-motivated with strong organizational skills, and attention to detail * Ability to work independently * Dependable (Attendance/Punctuality) * Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suit (Excel, Access specifically) * Understanding of measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.
) * Special interest in CAD, CAM, CNC manufacturing *Responsibilities:* * Organize and maintain 2D drawing files and all legacy engineering records and ensure proper revision levels are forward facing * Work to digitize all legacy engineering records onto file server * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of digital CAD files * Learn to create site specific 2D production drawings / 3D models using both drawings and/or sample parts * Continuously improve the quality of CAD models by incorporating feedback and learning from experienced team members * Support the production department with mid-stream drawing revisions and dimensional changes * Assist engineering team with various other department specific assignments and projects as directed Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.
