*Job Description:* We are seeking an experienced Welder who will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling the structural components of our large mobile equipment.
Based on previous experience, some positions may be available for direct hire, while others will be through placement via a local Staffing Agency.
The job will be in Huntington, West Virginia.
*Job duties may include, but not limited to:* * Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
* Set up welding machines, tools, and equipment.
* Select the appropriate welding process and materials based on the project requirements.
* Perform various welding techniques, such as MIG and stick welding on steel components in all positions.
* Operate equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, torches, plasma cutters, bandsaws, grinders/sanders, * Ensure the quality and integrity of welds, meeting all industry standards and safety guidelines.
* Inspect, dress, and repair welds as necessary.
* Work independently or collaboratively to ensure project timelines are met.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area.
* Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
*Qualifications:* * Proven experience as a Welder, preferably in a heavy equipment manufacturing environment.
* Certification in welding (e.
g.
, AWS or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Ability to pass internal Fletcher welding certification by approved deadline is a must.
* Strong knowledge of welding techniques, equipment, and materials.
* Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
* Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Good physical fitness and the ability to work in physically demanding environments.
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and techniques.
* Ability to work occasional overtime to support production demands.
*Physical Requirements:* This position requires repeated reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending and climbing beside, onto and under a variety of structures.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
