PAY RATE: $16.
29 Hourly (Pay is negotiable based on experience) The Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) is looking for persons who are highly motivated, with a heart to serve low-income elderly, disabled, and families with children in order to make their homes warm, safe, and dry.
Applicants should have general knowledge in construction, with basic skills in building decks and ramps, roof and floor repair, drywall and vinyl siding installation, and window and door replacement.
The ability to use construction tools safely and efficiently is also needed.
They will work alongside a skilled leadperson, and help lead unskilled high school, college, and church groups while ensuring safety in all aspects on the job site.
Support for other CAP programs is sometimes necessary.
A company vehicle for transporting materials and tools to and from job sites is provided as well as an iPhone and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent 18 Months of Additional Training in a Related Field 4 or more years of successful experience in a related field or a combination of education and experience CPR/First Aid/Bloodborne Pathogens/AED Certification (or ability to obtain) EPA Certification for Lead Renovator (or ability to obtain) Medical Examiner’s Certification for towing/trailer (or ability to obtain) Ability to reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, stand, walk Ability to crawl, kneel, and/or climb Lift 80 lbs.
